Tasek Lama Recreational Park的点评
点评：The park has huge potential, there are a series of walks around the park and a short circular ‘red route’ shown on maps at the entrance features a waterfall half way round. The red route is an easy short walk of 10 to 15 minutes on a tarred footpath.
Further into the park, there is also a watchtower which should offer commanding views of the area except surrounding trees now block most views.
It is very popular with local walkers and joggers on the tarred footpaths in the immediate vicinity of the entrance. There are plenty of information boards summarising many species of birds that can be seen in the area and there are several play areas for children.
Unfortunately the park is not well maintained. The viewing platforms near the waterfall are in a poor state of repair and are partially closed. Those that are open have part rotted wooden rails which are not in good condition and we would not recommend leaning on these for photographs.
We walked the circular blue route to the left of the watchtower which is in appalling condition. Sections have been washed away and ropes are needed to help transverse the route. In wet weather this route should be avoided completely as the mud is likely to make walking very difficult. We would also recommend bug repellent.
