Napa Valley Tours - Why Spit的点评
点评：Napa was was almost as good to us as Barry was at Why Spit. Barry helped me plan one of the greatest days in Napa. First he made all of our tasting reservations for us and planned the day out from a timing standpoint and executed the day flawlessly. He picked us up from our condo with a bottle of champagne and cake for our son's birthday to start off our day. This was completely unexpected and a nice touch. He was extremely knowledgeable, accommodating and got us everywhere on time and safety. We definitely recommend his services. We were taken to 5 Vineyards of our choosing, all offering a very unique experience. I had to cut myself off about 2 1/2 in. 5 was way too many. But i don’t regret our decision since our time was limited with our son and his wife. 1st stop was probably my favorite Schramsberg, their bubbles are delish and their tour, tasting and caves are amazing. 2nd stop was the famous Chateau Montelena. So incredibly beautiful with fantastic wines. Probably one of the best cabs we tasted on the trip even though it was their Chardonnay that put them on the map and beat the French in a blind taste test back in the 70’s. We had a picnic lunch as Barry was a total sweetheart and picked us up lunch to enjoy at the 1/2 way mark. 3rd stop was Sterling Vineyards. Incredible views, average wine. self guided tour. But you’ve got to go for the gondola ride up to the vineyard and the lookout over Napa for sure. 4th stop was Frank Family. Their wines were as beautiful as their grounds. Unfortunately I was not able to enjoy them as much as the rest of the fam as I started to hit a wall. But Tony was amazing and it was so lovely to sit out on their patio. 5th and final stop, was probably my least favorite but it is a crowd favorite from what we understand. We had lots of recommendations to go . The site is pretty cool and something to see. Grounds are beautiful and gorgeous views but definitely mixed reviews about the wines seemed a little like a Disney stop to us. But don’t regret the stop at Catello di Amorosa “the castle”. We could not have hit all of these stops without Barry. It would have been stressful and someone would have had to sit out of all the fun to get us around safely. I hope that some day we can get back to Napa. It is such a special place and Barry did a great job letting us see and experience that as a family.
