A Sweet Stop with Sleepy Lions and a Giggly Giraffe

点评：I’ve visited Elmvale Zoo a few times, but my most recent trip was with my 9-month-old granddaughter—and while she’s still a bit young to fully appreciate the zoo, it was a great excuse to get out of the car and stretch our legs on the drive from Toronto to Sudbury.
She was absolutely amazed by the surroundings—the animal sounds, the jungle-like atmosphere, and especially the lions, even though they were mostly snoozing. The highlight was definitely feeding the giraffe, which she found hilariously entertaining!
The zoo itself is clean and well-kept, and it’s clear they’ve put effort into maintaining a pleasant experience. That said, I do miss the little canteen I remember from past visits. This time, the only food available was for the animals—a souvenir bucket of veggies for $10, which felt a bit steep for a few carrot sticks and lettuce leaves.
Overall, it’s a charming little zoo and a great stop for families, especially if you need a break from the road. Just pack your own snacks!
