One of the best small-town historical museums I've seen

点评：I travel a lot, and always enjoy checking out small town historical museums. Usually find the typical assortment of artifacts, antiques, things from the early days of the town, on shelves or display cases. This one surprised me greatly. VERY professionally done displays. Within the main museum, there is a complete stage coach from the Butterfield Overland Despatch line, one of the first in the area (pre-wells fargo), a large number of antique pump organs, and other large items, but a lot of the displays were set up as shallow store fronts replicating the old fort and town, with the appropriate items within. Print shop, post surgeon's office, enlisted quarters, post office, etc., all with displays easily seen within them. Then there's the original stage post, train depot, a carriage house with conestoga wagon and chuckwagon in great shape, set up to cross the prairie, old fire engines, carriages, etc., and then a small historic church. All very nicely put together, and well worth the stop. I'm really glad I left early today and had time to make this unplanned stop!
