新加坡动物园的点评
点评：We only went to the zoo so my daughter could see a sloth but we saw so much more! Most of the other animals are just the same as at any zoo around the world and we weren't expecting much as we have been to plenty of other zoos. We were pleasantly surprised.
The free train is a nice touch, especially in the heat and the zoo seems to go round in circles with not much helpful signage. We missed several things due to the confusing layout. There are several options for food, and a large outdoor seating area, accessible by the train.
The reptiles were cool and being from Australia, it was fun to see some blue-tongue lizards being active and feeding.
It was good to be able to get closer to some of the other animals and see more of them without fences in the way (they are still enclosed, but kept away from people with moats rather than big fences, so you can see a lot more of the animals).
We stumbled across the opportunity to feed the Arapaima fish which was super amazing and fun! Having the orangutans hanging above us and swinging on their rope was a great experience.
Walking through the Fragile Forest was awesome - you are among the wildlife and can get up close with all kinds of birds and lemurs. It was here we saw the sloth we had been longing for! Hidden in a tree and not as close as we'd hoped but still gorgeous!
If you only have limited time, then skip the zoo. But if you have a day to spare, it is a fun day out.
