点评:Took my shark-mad 3 year old (and his less shark mad one year old sister), on a rainy Sunday. Been to smaller Sealife aquariums before, and this was a step above those. Great first impressions with the big shark and fish models above the foyer. My son went ballistic. Two floors, with well designed and well looked after exhibits, which we could have been slower to look through if we weren't forced to immediately get to the shark tunnel. This, and the larger aquarium window, did not disappoint. Very impressive indeed. We sat in the (admittedly pricey and largely fine) restaurant, by the aquarium windows and we loved snacking and watching sharks and eels pass us by.
Decent sized play area outside. Well stocked shop. Can't really fault our trip. Don't really understand the reviews saying it looks run down.
NB- 2 and a bit hours spent there, could have spent longer looking at each exhibit, but we had actually 'seen' everything. I can understand the comments comparing this to Chester zoo at a similar price, there really is no comparison as your looking at a morning/afternoon only at Blue Planet.
