Beautiful winery, but not a great experience.

点评:We visited yesterday for the chef's tasting menu. After some confusion regarding our reservation for this experience, we began on the patio with a glass of wine before going into the inside seating for our wine and meal. Be prepared if you plan to sit on the patio. There is a gas fireplace but no heaters for chilly days.
Our service began with caviar over a lemon panna cotta with a shard of crispy potato chip. Interesting. Next was a cold scallop dish with cauliflower, almonds, raisins, and shitake mushrooms. Then a bison ribeye with a smoked potato puree and rosemary demi glace. It was tender and delicious, but it was probably 3-4 ounces. Next was the chocolate cremieux with cranberry. All interesting little dishes. The wine was good. It took an hour. Including our espresso ($8.00 each)
I felt it was very rushed. No bread service, we had finished our tiny plates but not the wine paired with each one before the next course was brought out and the next wine poured. It definitely wasn't fine dining ( and that's fine) but don't go expecting to get the usual fine dining experience. We paid over $400.00 (415.00) and were done in an hour.
