点评:Give yourself a few days here so that you can experience both the Grand Tsingy Route and the Petit Tsingy Route. These are quite a distance apart. We stayed in Bekopaka and had a driver & guide with us.
Grand Tsingy
The Grand Tsingy was a 1.75 hour drive away, so we had to leave early. This is best as it becomes very hot in the middle of the day.
On arrival we were isued with climing gear and then were ready for the off. Initially you walk across savannah then through forest until you reach the pinnacle rock formations, which are fascinating. Enroute you should see lemurs/sifakas and other wildlife quite close up, this initial part of the trek took around an hour with stopping to see things.
The information we had undersold the difficulty of the rock climb, you do need to be reasonably fit and the rocks are razor sharp, so if possible take leather gloves or bicycle gloves to protect your fingers. You climb up (secured) on footplates attached to the rocks, but these are not that big......so trainers are better than walking boots which are rather cumbersome. Again our information and our agent suggestd walking boots......I would beg to differ sturdy trainers are a better fit, I would not have managed it in hiking boots. Just don't wear flimsy tennis type shoes!
The views and photographs are worth the climb, and it is a climb, up and down, no turning back once you commit. You also have to deal with those individuals/groups who seem to be in a race to get to the end, pushing to get by you in places.
Petit Tsingy
This is a much smaller route based from Bekopaka and you do not have climbing gear on....but it was still in places just as dangerous with pinnacles rearing up from the ground beneath you.
It was worth doing but was basically just the rock climb with some very tight gaps to squeeze through. This was much busier and there were issues with groups rushing up behind us as we were on the small viewing platform, and them getting nasty because we were taking a photograph!
We didn't see very much wildlife on this trip.

Petit Tsingy
