点评:My wife and I, both senior citizens, visited this lovely park with our twenty-strong tour group in the late morning and spent around an hour wandering around.
You can instantly see why it's called Elephant Trunk Hill - the arch really does look like an elephant drinking from the Li River. It is a very iconic spot.
It was an easy walk for us seniors on what was quite a warm day, with plenty of shade and places to sit and take in the views. It was just a lovely way to spend an hour and a nice diversion from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The photos I took look great, but I did have to wait a while to get the perfect shot. Everyone wants the same classic photo of the elephant arch, so there was quite a queue at the main viewpoint. Everyone was very polite and waited their turn, but it did take a little time and ate into our hour a bit. To be truthful, it would be a very romantic spot with lots of lovely places for beautiful photos, but the number of people there made it a little less so. We still got some wonderful shots of us and managed to make it look like we were the only ones there!
I am not sure how much the entrance fee was as it was part of our China tour, but it was still totally worth the visit and we are so glad we stopped off here.
Tip: If you want that perfect photo without the queue, try to go early morning. We were there late morning which was the busiest time.
