Worst experience in Luang Prabang

点评：No matter what your tour guide or hotel staff or random tourist on the street says, DO NOT visit this cave. Unless they're saying the same thing, then yes, trust them. While Buddha statues in a cave sounds cool, it is not worth the 2 to 3 hours plus journey to and from this place. Unless you have absolutely exhausted every activity to do in Luang Prabang, I highly recommend going to other places instead as this is a tourist trap.
And for the love of God, do not take the slow ferry service here. Unless you enjoy long and mind numbingly boring boat rides along the river with a mediocre destination cause it's about the journey, then by all means go ahead. And pray you don't have to use the toilet halfway through the journey cause the only place to go is the river.
As part of your visit, you'll also be forced to stop at the whisky village, which also is another tourist trap that sells overpriced scarves and homemade whisky. Whisky price is not too bad for a small bottle, but it's homemade.
The caves can also be quickly covered in less than 30 minutes. Out of my entire trip in Luang Prabang, this is the portion that I felt the most cheated out of. Do other more meaningful things like the Mandalao Elephant Conservation or the waterfalls or temples in Luang Prabang itself.
