Must do hike in Dominica

点评：We were visiting Dominica as independent travelers and wanted to see some of the wild side of this lovely island. Using a very helpul concierge person (Vivianna at the Fort Young hotel) we booked Justin Dubois to guide our 3.5 hr hike on Segment 13 to Capucin. Totally amazing hike with magnificant coastal views, and Justin was just so knowledgeable about the area. He lives locally and was actually born in an abandoned village litterally on segment 13 trail.
Walk was technical because slippy in places. We normally use walking poles but did not bring them. We completed the trial in what Justin described as "above average" time.
We have walked the South West Coast path in UK, and bizzarly the paths seemed very similar to this section, albeit with very different vegetation !
Justin would be a great guide for a number of these northern sections of the trial.
TOP TIP - be careful doing any of these paths without a guide, not least the you will miss a huge amount of "context" of the area and old abandoned buildings
