Small Enclosures, Poor Cleanliness

点评：One of the most disappointing attractions we visited in Crete.
The biggest issue for me was the apparent lack of cleanliness and animal welfare standards. During our visit, I saw mice inside one of the parrot enclosures eating the animals’ food. There was also a noticeable build-up of animal excrement in many of the enclosures, which made the environment feel poorly maintained.
I was also uncomfortable with the size of some of the enclosures. Several animals, including monkeys and lemurs, appeared to spend long periods pacing back and forth or repeatedly interacting with the enclosure bars. While I’m not an animal behaviour expert, it did not give the impression of animals living in a stimulating or spacious environment.
At €15 per person, I expected higher standards of cleanliness, larger and more enriching enclosures, and a greater focus on animal welfare.
I appreciate that others may have a different experience, but I left feeling more concerned than entertained. Based on what I observed, I would not recommend a visit.
