Florissant Fossil Quarry的点评
点评：Extended family visited this location while we were in the Florissant area. Entrance wasn't prominently marked, but we didn't have a difficult time finding the drive (and path) that lead to the quarry site.
Staff consisted of both the owner and an assistant. Both were friendly and helpful throughout the fossil collecting experience. Each group had their own designated area; picnic table with stones and tools. Tools were fairly mundane items versus more official paleontological tools, but they worked pretty well for what needed to be done.
Overall experience lasted a little over an hour once we got settled. Our family of three found about a dozen or so different fossilized leaves, stems, and other plants bits. A pretty good return for the hour of work. Cost was $20 per person, which needs to be paid in cash. Additional note, everybody has to pay to be there, so parents weren't able to watch/supervise for free.
