Hugely Disappointing Experience at Komodo National Park

点评：I came here with such high hopes, knowing this is one of the most unique places on Earth, but my visit was an enormous disappointment. The scenery is undeniably stunning, but everything else feels poorly managed and abandoned.
The facilities are in terrible condition — dirty, unkempt and frankly disgusting. As for the staff, I will refrain from saying much, but the attitude we encountered was extremely unhelpful and at times outright rude.
On such a huge island, we were only allowed to walk for about 20 minutes before being shown two lethargic dragons lying down as if sedated or grossly overfed. We were then pressured to take ridiculous staged photos with the animals — an experience that felt exploitative rather than authentic.
This place could be world-class, but instead it feels neglected and commercialised. Unless you are desperate to tick “seeing a Komodo dragon” off your list while in Flores, I would honestly recommend going to a well-run zoo instead. Truly an awful experience and a huge missed opportunity.
