点评：This museum is a real gem in Akureyri. Although the hangar is relatively small, the number of planes on display here in is impressive . . . and they’re all in beautiful shape! You’ll have the opportunity to get on board and walk through several of them. Although the DC-3 in Iceland Air colors out back is impressive, the highlight for me was the cockpit from an actual 747 where you can actually sit in the pilot’s seat, flip some switches, and handle the controls. I’ve been to airplane museums all over the world and I’d never seen anything like that! From the welcoming staff to the beautiful aircraft, this is a top attraction to visit in Akureyri.
A great tip: the public busses in Akureyri are free! Although none go all the way out to the museum, take the A6 to the Skate Hall, then follow the walking path bout 15 to 20 minutes to the airport and museum. Not only is it an affordable way to get there, but the walk along the trail is really beautiful and an added bonus.
