STARMAN was a mind-blowing and moving experience!

点评：I’ve been to Coco Cabaret several times seeing a variety of shows, and the quality of the entertainment always blows my mind. My most recent visit to see Starman, a David Bowie tribute, was no different. In fact it exceeded my expectations. The sold out show starred Jordon Carnegie, who led a live and very talented band thru songs from Bowie’s enormous catalog for more than an hour. Carnegie did not impersonate Bowie but instead paid homage to the superstar, treating each song with respect and putting his own unique spin on them. The staging and lighting on each song was incredibly thoughtful as well. It was obvious this show was a labor of love to all that were involved, from the musicians to the lighting designer to the costume designer and sound engineer. I shed a tear twice! Carnegie’s passion and love for Bowie was evident not only in his interpretation of the songs but during his in-between song banter, relaying to the audience his love for his hero and sharing anecdotes about what the songs meant to him. I am inspired to attend the second and final performance of Starman to relive the experience. Beyond that, I cannot wait to see what Carnegie brings to Coco next!
