Interesting ruins, lovely views from the top of the tower

点评：I have visited before but in the past I’ve never had an opportunity to explore the secret tunnel so that was interesting.
I love ruins so exploring this castle was again was really nice.
Climbing the steps to the top of the tower is a bit scary as there is nothing to hold onto so you need to take your time if you do this. The views are amazing once you get to the top though.
I feel it is a little expensive for the entry without the English Heritage pass.
I have the pass so it’s not too bad for me but a little pricy for general admission considering it’s not a place that you can spend a long time at.
I would recommend it as a visit though and go look at the church if you have time.
Above the entrance gateway of the church are some stone skull and cross bones which indicate that people are buried there who died during the plague.
