Unforgettable Horseriding Trek

点评：Five of us adventurous ladies just got back from the most incredible week riding through the Carpathian Mountains of Transylvania, and we’re already talking about going back. Our travel agent recommended the trip, and it completely exceeded expectations.
We started at the charming Count Kálnoky cottages, where Countess Anna welcomed us so warmly. She even helped match each of us with our horses. I was paired with Tulipán, a beautiful Lipizzaner mare who quickly stole my heart.
Every night we stayed somewhere unique and full of character. King Charles’ restored hunting lodge was especially memorable with cozy beds and antique charm. The food was excellent too; as a vegetarian, I really appreciated the care they took with my meals.
The rides were breathtaking. We galloped through meadows, wandered ancient forests, and even had dinner in a bear blind where we saw more than ten bears—including a mama with her cubs. Moments like that felt straight out of a fairytale.
Our guide, Matias Kálnoky, made the journey even more special. He was witty, knowledgeable, and by the end of the week, we were giving him a hard time like an old friend. The final day ended with a peaceful swim in a quiet lake—such a thoughtful and relaxing touch from Countess Anna.
This trip is a dream for confident riders who love nature, history, and a little magic. Huge thanks to the Kálnoky family for making it all so unforgettable.
