点评:On arrival for a themed 60s/70s weekend organised by BCM Festivals and Get2Events on the 15th November for a three night stay,
We were greeted at reception by a very rude receptionist !! NO Good afternoon. Welcome to Sand Bay, and we hope you enjoy your stay with us !!
INSTEAD she informed us we had to fill in a registration form and to come back at 2pm to check in.....she didnt say your welcome to go to the cafe for a drink while your waiting for your check in time she wasn't at all helpful or pleasant. We checked in at 2 p.m., and we had upgraded for the classic to the club chalet.
The bed and bedding is awful, and if this is the club standard, I would hate to see the classic chalet.
The food is bland and it's like being in a school canteen.
The room where the entertainment is on hasn't enough tables and seats for the number of tickets they have sold for this event.
The drinks are poor quality and very expensive !!!
I asked for Smirnoff vodka instead of the non branded on offer they were serving. It cost my party £36 for 3 double vodkas and coke and a pint of soap water cider !!!! Disgraceful!!
I had to go to reception to ask for an extra duvet has it was very cold the previous night
She looked at me and asked me, " Do you want something? "!!! Well yes, that's why I am standing at the reception desk !!
I've worked in customer service for many years and would never dream of talking or treating any customer in this way !!
BCM entertainment was fantastic first night with Racey and Union Gap, but following lunch St Cecelia is 50,s not what was advertised 60-70,s weekend. Personally, we didn't book to see a 50 s band.
Think the management of Pontins Sand Bay need to address their staff and offer some training in how to treat customers !!
I WOULD NEVER RETURN AND WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND PONTINS.
We are cutting our stay short and going home
And spend my hard earned cash elsewhere,
And would tell anyone thinking of visiting here. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.
