点评：We booked a night tour of Los Camacho Wildlife Refuge with Antonio, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! Antonio was a phenomenal guide with super reasonable prices, and we liked the Los Camacho tour so much we re-hired him to show us around Monteverde (which was also an excellent tour!)
Antonio was super knowledgeable about local flora and fauna, and he easily helped us spot frogs, birds, snakes, and bugs that I could barely find with my binoculars all while sharing cool facts about what we were looking at. Any time we wanted a picture, he’d use his scope to take pics with our phones that looked like they were taken right in front of the animal. He kept a great pace throughout the tour and we saw a ton of each location, and between animal sightings Antonio filled the time with tons of information about the park, the wildlife, the history of the area, and a whole host of other things.
Antonio was also just a really fun guy. He was super easy to talk to, and he was more than willing to work with us to make the tour our own. When we said we wanted frogs on the night walk, he took us straight to the best spots to see frogs. We really wanted to see some birds in Monteverde, and the whole hike was bird after bird. Antonio was picking out birds just by their calls, mimicking their calls to pull birds out of hiding, and he was able to answer just about every question we had about the birds we saw/heard.
We’re absolutely going back to Monteverde, and when we do, we’ll 100% be calling Antonio.
