点评:This is a great market, with very many stalls selling all kinds of meats, both carne (raw chicken, beef, sausages, and pork) and charcuterie (ham, salami, cheeses, etc.) It's open Mondays through Saturdays from 7 am until 2:30 pm. The prices seem higher than the grocery store, but the quality seems better too. There's another floor with produce which I haven't yet visited, as well as flowers galore just outside the back of the building. I'll have to update my review after I visit those.
We did find a wonderful stall called Buenas Aires that had delicious empanadas! We tried the pollo, carne, and queso y cebolla (cheese and onion) - all were delicious! The nice man at the counter was patient with our broken Spanish, and offered to heat up the empanadas for us, asking "Caliente?" He also advised us, in broken English, to take them unheated if we weren't planning to eat them right away. We microwaved them later and they were great, but I'm sure they would've been even better if we'd been able to heat them in the oven.
This market is huge and definitely worth visiting, even if you don't need food products, just for the cultural experience. I did also see a couple of stalls selling coffee and tea, candy, and wine, which would make nice souvenirs.
