It is an initiative designed so that the benefits of tourism go directly to the families of the inhabitants of ethnic territories of Afro and Indigenous communities, who always welcome visitors as family, not as clients.
This process is supported by expert biologists who dream of sharing their knowledge about the ocean and the species that inhabit it, with the purpose of raising environmental awareness and preserving the ecosystems that fill their hearts.
In addition to the breathtaking landscapes and the warmth of the people, as a professional chef, one of the best parts of my trip with Selva Marina was the gastronomic experience. Every day of my stay, I had my meals in the home of a different local family. The cooks engaged in a delightful competition to win us over with their flavors, and when we asked, they gladly shared some of their culinary secrets with us.
From the moment your plane lands, you are received with the greatest human warmth, and when it’s time to leave, they say goodbye with hugs and nostalgia as you board your return flight.
