点评:This is a very interesting natural rock formation that was once surrounded by a Venetian castle/city until a series of earthquakes destroyed it in the 1600s, 1700s, and 1800s. The main draw now is a hike down to see the ruins and have a wonderful view of the caldera. It's a short, but nice hike. We were staying in Imerovigli, so coming here was a breeze and we did it on our way into town in Fira. The entrance to the path down to Skaros is near the Grace Hotel and it's about a mile round trip down and back (up and down many, many steps, but that's Santorini). The last portion is unsafe and is technically forbidden, so we didn't do it, but we saw many people who went exploring. It's very interesting to see all the different layers of building materials from the castle/city walls that are visible and it's definitely a striking location for a settlement. It's a nice place to visit and it's easily done as part of the Fira-Imerovigli-Oia hike.
