点评：What an amazing experience - we went for the 45 minute guided tasting.
Domaine Evremond is a pioneering English sparkling wine estate located in Chilham, Kent. Founded by Champagne house Taittinger and UK wine agency Hatch Mansfield, it's the first time a major Champagne producer has invested in English vineyards. The site was chosen for its chalky soils and south-facing slopes, (51 Deg N) echoing the terroir of France’s Champagne region.
The estate is named after Charles de Saint-Évremond, who helped introduce Champagne to England in the 17th century. In 2017, the team planted 60 hectares of classic Champagne grape varieties—Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
Architecturally, Domaine Evremond is designed to blend into the natural Kent Downs landscape. The largely underground winery, designed by Giovanni Pace, enables gravity-fed winemaking and offers ideal cellar conditions. The facility can eventually store up to 1.5 million bottles.
Officially opened in 2024 by the Duchess of Edinburgh, the estate is based upon Franco-British friendship. The first edition of the Classic Cuvée was disgorged in September and went on sale in March 2025, crafted in the traditional method and aged for three years on the lees.
The Cellar Door experience opened in April 2025 and they will expand with a food offering. A great date day option for couples and a chance to buy a bottle of this extraordinary Kent Sparkling wine
