Fantastic tour of the Sedan area

点评：I feel very fortunate to have found Richard Tucker/Tucker Tours. My wife and I spent 2-1/2 days touring the Sedan area with him, and there was never a dull moment. Richard is very knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. It was very enlightening to see the terrain and road system that the German army had to deal with, along with the French fortifications, and to learn of the failings of the French command during the June 1940 campaign. Richard knew exactly where to go to point these things out. During our time with him, he covered the Franco-Prussian war of 1870 as well as both World Wars.
Richard also hooked us up with another guide that we used for a day and a half tour of the Bastogne area for a Battle of the Bulge tour. And he arranged for Roger Schmidt to give us a personal tour of the Maginot Line Fort, La Ferte. Roger had a lot to do with keeping La Ferte accessible so that people like us can understand its historical significance. (He spent 10 years writing a book about the fort and its role in WW2.) He was also an excellent tour guide and very personable.
If you get the chance, don't hesitate to book Tucker Tours for an unforgettable experience.
