Brilliant day out in glorious Wensleydale

点评：Liz and I spent an afternoon at The Wensleydale Experience at Swinithwaite Hall Farm. We were welcomed by Bridget and given a brief resume of the activities ahead for us. These included helping to feed the pigs, lambs, goats around the home farm. With Bridget’s assistant, Jim. We went off to take some feed to the Highland cattle in far off fields, where we found the cows and their calves and the bull, Sid, contentedly grazing. Later we acted as cattle drivers of old taking other highlands up to higher pasture to join with the rest of their herd. Great fun, slowly rising up the valley side with Jim in the Land Rover in front and Bridget and I behind encouraging the cows. Much bellowing when they met up with rest of herd. Spectacular views across the dale on a perfect day. Back at the farm Bridget had prepared a superb afternoon cream tea with freshly made scones- yum yum!
Our two hosts could not have been better hosts. They were fun and informative. A grand day out.
