I arrived at my scheduled reservation only to be told there were no cars available, but that one was “on its way” from the airport and would arrive in about 20 minutes. Every 30 minutes or so, I was fed the same line: “It’s almost here.” Hours later, the office closed, and I was told to pay out-of-pocket for an Uber to another borough to finally pick up a vehicle—promised that I’d be reimbursed.
When I finally got the car, one of the tires went flat within hours. A mechanic confirmed it was a pre-existing issue, yet I was forced to pay for that, too.
The only reimbursement I ever received was the minor adjustment made at pickup—despite being told multiple times that further reimbursement would be issued. After a week and a half of chasing down anyone who would answer the phone, I finally reached someone who flatly refused to honor those promises.
An absolutely infuriating, unprofessional experience from start to finish.
