Thornfalcon Winery with hosts Sophie and Panu who delivered an extraordinary writing retreat that exceeded every expectation.Their warmth and passion shines through everything they do - a testament to their gift for hospitality.
This boutique winery is so much more than accommodation. I explored the vineyards, enjoyed champagne tastings, and ate beautifully curated food made with love. Their lake provided the perfect plunge pool (complete with a hilarious swan chase!) after basking in the sauna, a natural spot to unwind between writing sessions. The house itself, with its stunning décor and warm atmosphere, offered inspiration as I tried to crack on with my darkly comic spy thriller novel. Everything at Thornfalcon sparks creativity. The property even accommodated my rather unusual request to record a live podcast. Morning runs beyond the estate, writing sessions in the library, and evenings around a convivial dining table created memories I'll treasure forever.
Thornfalcon wasn't just a weekend away - it was a soul-restoring experience that sets an impossibly high bar for luxury hospitality. The perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and genuine care from hosts who truly understand what makes a stay unforgettable. I'll absolutely be back!
