点评：Mullayanagiri is the highest peak in Karnataka and can be reached without any arduous trek. On clear days the view from the peak will surely be amazing, but in the monsoon the area is enshrouded with fog. From the parking there are jeeps available to drop you at a point, from where we had to walk for some time until we reached the stairs. At the end of the stairs lies the highest point of Karnataka, the Mullayanagiri peak.
We went during the peak monsoon in Chikmagalur, so Mullayanagiri was full of clouds. Visibility was extremely low and the winds were blowing very heavily. At some points we felt like the wind will blow us down the mountain into the valley. We abandoned our climb due to safety reasons and instead spent some amazing time at the base, in the mist, clicking photos and enjoying the rains. If strong winds and cold scare you then it is better to avoid going here in monsoon. Else, if looking for adventure, then try to visit this place during monsoon itself.
