Unexpected picnic by the Panj River

点评：We did the route from Dushanbe to Eastern Pamir along the Pamir Highway and every day brought something new and unforgettable. The landscapes were just breathtaking. Raw, untouched valleys, low-hanging clouds, snow-capped peaks, and endless mountain views.
I met some great people during the tour. I’m still in touch with a few of them.
On the road a small mudslide had washed out part of the road, and we had to wait for almost an hour while a tractor cleared the path. But even that turned into a highlight — Nurali, our amazing driver-guide, set up a little picnic by the Panj River. Sitting by the water, eating snacks, and laughing with the group made it feel like a planned stop, not a delay.
Nurali has over 10 years of experience and is one of the calmest and nicest people I’ve met. He knows every road and hidden spot in Tajikistan and never once needed a map, it’s like he has GPS in his head. We always felt safe and in good hands.
The team behind the tour clearly cares about what they do. They were helpful, thoughtful, and genuinely wanted us to enjoy the experience.
For the price, this tour was an incredible value. I came back with nothing but good memories.
