ROUTINE SHOPPING TRIP TURNED INTO GETTING SALE-PRICED BARGAINS

点评：On a regular shopping trip for items I routinely buy at Walmart I came upon items at prices too good to pass up.
Red and black grapes were on sale at $1.97/lb. I got a 1.03 lb. bag of black grapes for $2.03. The grapes were big, ripe, sweet, and juicy. They were very good.
A small banana for a snack was at 50¢/lb. That was a considerable price reduction from the 79¢/lb. I’ve seen frequently there. Many people were buying the item.
A Reg. $1.97 box of two plain donuts was marked down to $1.40.
A bag of Reg. $1.98 French Bread Stuffing - cut into cubes – was marked down to $1.37. I saw those bread cubes as perfect for soup croutons.
I also got two bags of Great Value 60% Cacao Dark Baking Chocolate Chips at $3.58 each. The price had been reduced from just under $4.00. This is a routine purchase. For comparison, the Nestle Toll House 53% Cacao Dark Chocolate Morsels were $4.68, and those had 7% less cacao than that Great Value brand.
I also got a 250-count box of Great Value™ No Calorie Sweetener with Saccharin for $3.58 each. I’ve used this product for years and have been well satisfied with it.
And, while there, I picked up a box of Great Value® Macaroni & Cheese – Thick & Creamy and one box of Great Value® Macaroni & Cheese Dinner – Original at 58¢ each to donate to the Dover Food Pantry. The food pantry clients like this brand and the different varieties, such as the shells, spirals, and thick & creamy.
It was a very good shopping experience with some excellent buys which I rate at 4.50, and I can recommend shopping here.
