点评：Considering this is about the only (if not the only) leash-free beach in the area, I really liked it. There are some negative things, but this is only from a human's point of view. My dog would insist this should be a 5-star review!
First, I cannot stress enough to get there early, because the parking lot is pretty small. I got there at 715a and no one else was there, which was really nice. The area for the dogs is extremely small, and if you walk slowly, which I did, from one end to the other, you're finished in 7 mins. Of course, the dog doesn't mind.
You have to walk quite a bit (ok, maybe not quite a bit, but about 10 mins) from parking to the beach area, but it's a lovely walk among tall trees which I assume were oak because acorns were falling all over the place! I think at that height, had they hit my dog on the head, she'd have had a concussion, but it was pretty cool to hear them falling.
This time of year, carry bug spray! The mosquitos are in full-force. Now once you get to the beach, there aren't any. The cowards show up only when it's hard to see them!
Keep your dog leashed at this point.
There are (estimating) about 30 steps to go down, when you can then let your dog be free. When we left, there were quite a few dogs, and it was a real blast watching dogs swimming after thrown balls. My dog is envious that they can do that. :)
