Castle Park Grounds and Cafe lovely BUT Toilets Are Often Closed or In A Poor State!

点评：Lovely grounds and Castle Keep. Cafe nice in the park too. Boating lake outdated not very inspiring often full of green weed. Good Putt In The Park Roman themed crazy golf really worth a visit.
What is really poor and inadequate are the toilets in the park. Upper toilets are often damaged (door off) poorly maintained, dirty, need attendants attending more often. (Probably left to park rangers to sort with all their other jobs)
Lower park toilets by the boating lake are often closed with no notice, no phone number now on them that has been removed. Disabled toilet was bolted so even with the code no one could get in (this was before 3pm in the summer school holidays in July!)
For an award winning park it’s really not good enough to have toilets that are consistently locked or poorly maintained if you are lucky enough to get in!
Council say visitors to them cause problems well charge to use them 50p on an app at least they would be open and usable. Colchester Council do something!
