Great Fun for Kids (and Grandparents!) – Just a Bit of a Squeeze!

点评：We recently went to the toboggan run at Swadlincote Ski and Snowboard Centre, and honestly, it was such a fun experience!
I went with my seven-year-old grandson and we paid £11 for three rides, which felt like good value for the amount of fun we had. We didn’t pre-book as we were a bit unsure about the weather, so we just turned up—and that worked out perfectly. The lady at reception was lovely, really helpful, and so enthusiastic, which made a great first impression.
The toboggans and the overall site are a little bit on the older side and could probably do with a bit of a revamp—but don’t let that put you off.
My grandson absolutely loved it. Because he’s under 8, he had to ride with me, but he was still able to control the toboggan himself, which made it even more exciting for him. It’s such a great activity to do together.
One thing to note—space in the toboggan is a bit tight. I’m quite a smallish lady and with my grandson in there as well, it was… interesting, shall we say! I’d imagine if you’re a bigger adult, you might find it a bit of a squeeze riding with a child.
You do need to wear trainers, and the staff were quite laid-back and friendly. When we went, it wasn’t too busy—we only queued about five minutes between rides, with around six people there at the time. I imagine during peak times the wait could be a lot longer, though.
They also have a café on site selling drinks, including alcohol, so you could easily make a proper outing of it. The snow tubing looked really good as well—we didn’t try it this time as my grandson isn’t a fan of heights, but it definitely looked worth a go. They also offer deals and packages, which is a nice bonus.
Overall, despite it being a bit dated, it’s really good fun and definitely worth a visit—especially with kids!

这里还有一家咖啡馆，出售各种饮品，包括酒水，所以完全可以好好享受一番。雪圈看起来也很棒——这次我们没玩，因为我孙子恐高，但看起来确实值得一试。他们还提供各种优惠和套餐，这很不错。
