A perfect visit from Santa

点评：A brilliant Santa and train experience for the whole family.
We visited with our 2 year old and 6 month old with one set of grandparents (4 adults and 2 children in total). We paid £46 for a standard carriage and there was plenty of room. We could have fitted at least another adult easily.
After the train is loaded, there was a short journey along the track to the 'Toyland' station where Santa and his helpers were waiting. Santa greated each carriage in turn, first asking the age if the children and their names to allow a helper to collect an appropriately aged gift. Meanwhile, Santa chatted to the children asking what they would like for Christmas etc. The gifts were of good quality. Our 6 month old received a squeaky teddy bear rattle and our 2 year old received a teddy bear - which she had asked for! She was very pleased.
While waiting for Santa to visit the other carriages, helpers came round with a small wine or orange juice and a warm mince pie for adults.
After Santa had visited every carriage, the train left Toyland to return to the station on the circular track.
The whole experience is about 25 minutes to half an hour which is perfect for young children. The carriages are open to the elements so it is worth dressing in warm waterproofs for a visit. Amerton farm itself does also have baby change facilities and toilets.
We will be back next year.
