Went with friend to "the newly renovated luxurious spa" - it was anything but.
The steam room wasn't working at all and the sauna was no hotter than 66 degrees. The "emotional shower" triggered feelings only of confusion. The hydrotherapy pool had a dirty whiff to the water and only one of the two the lay down chairs inside the pool were working. The jacuzzi, on reflection, had a merky foam on top when the bubbles were on, suggesting the chemical balance and PH of the water was incorrect. There are 3 heated loungers next to this, 1 was working properly and the other 2, not so much.
The general flow of this self proclaimed luxurious spa flows like the inside of what I'd imagine a low security women's prison would feel like. Dark corridors with breeze block walls, rooms painted black, nobody around and PVC style doors with A4 paper sellotaped to the window section added to our list bafflement.
However, the changing rooms were something else! The smell of drains was strong in the air, piles of dirty towels left strewn across the floor mounted during the 90 minutes we endured and the hair in the clogged drains was enough to make us feel so unclean, that we actually showered again when we got home!
The Manager, Payam, has had receipt of our complaint now for 9 days. He firstly offered us a complimentary return visit, and as were are neither stupid nor gluttons for punishment, we declined.
He counter argued that the facilities were fit for purpose and offered a 50% refund. Again, we have stood our ground and asked for a full refund as we have not had what we paid for. Atrocious customer service is now added to a long list of complaints we have about this place.
I will be pursuing my complaint further and am baffled that this is part of the Radisson group.
