Well, where does one start..at the beginning. We chose the Green Ranch to be the base of a fundraising event, for our charity. A walk around Lake Bosomtwe - 32kms with 2 miles of dense forest in temperatures of 32 to 35 degrees. From our very first call I realised we had found a gem. Not only in responsiveness, organisational flair, but also kindness and support. As if by magic, a wonderful room was reserved, taxis and transport organised, a guide sourced and a boat arranged, so that we could walk over two days, after all we are 65 and 61!! We could not have received a warmer welcome. The hostess is amazing, It is Elodie's home and what a wonderful home it is. The horses, with character and calmness curiously appeared, the staff took us to our room and prepared a sumptuous meal. Conversation flowed and guests - how varied we all were, languages of the world, walkers, riders and cyclists, just sat around the table and laughed. The whole three days ran like clock work. The guide Frank, cared for us, paced us and rested us. The boat trip back across a crystal clear lake, refreshing. Back at the Ranch the beer was cold, the salad delicious. The conversation amongst the likeminded guests flowed around, horse riding, canoeing on the lake, bikes, nature and birdsong, the ambiance confirmed that we all were in our element. Its an eco lodge, it sets a standard, it cares for the environment - the food is deliciously fresh. The rooms provided solace, comfort and sleep. There is choice. In short we had an amazing time, we will return and we will stay in touch. A real gem.
