点评:Hubby and I hiked this hike in winter, January 2023. Easy and about 3 miles or so in and again out, in winter. You have to park down by Big Cottonwood Canyon Rd. in the winter. They've had a lot of snow this year so it was important for us to stay on the 12-18" wide packed foot trail. If you get off this packed trail, you'll sink and may not be able to get out. Beautiful hike with snow-covered evergreen trees as well as leafless Aspens (Poplars in Michigan!) Take care to not be under or near a tree when the breeze blows or else you'll get covered with snow like my hubby did! Burrrrr! There was easily 5 feet of snow there. The only sort of difficult thing is hiking up the snow-covered rocky terrain to see the water fall and cave but well worth it. We did not climb above that. I wore micro spikes on my hiking boots and hubby just used Yak Trax and we were both glad we had them. I also had walking sticks but didn't need them other then feeling more stable on a couple steep trail occasions. We could have used snowshoes in spots. Saw only one mom and two boys and two other couples the whole time on the trail this time of year on a weekday. Felt like heaven! Highly recommend. Can't wait to see more of it in non-snow and clear sky times.
