Too big, too fast, but worth it
Domes And Dripstones Tour的点评
点评:Visited on a Saturday in April for a 12:45pm tour. The visitor center was unbelievably packed. Parking was a bit of a mess. Our tour had 104 people with a ranger up front and one behind. We took 3 busses for a 5 min ride to the cave.
There are lots of steps and it’s narrow in spots and you could hit your head if not careful but it wasn’t overly difficult.
The worst part was the size of the group (which is clearly typical) and the fast pace (which sounds typical too). Taking pictures while walking was difficult due to the fast pace and people running immediately behind you.
The highlight was the frozen Niagara which made the whole tour worth it. Without that, the 2 hour tour would have been a huge disappointment.
Definitely wear closed toe shoes. As you depart the bus back at the visitor center you have to disinfect your feet to prevent spreading bat disease and I sure wouldn’t want my skin to walk thru that solution.
