Don’t take in July if you want to catch lobsters

点评：Although our captain and everyone who worked at Joey’s Deep Sea Fishing were very friendly and knowledgeable, this tour was misleading. The website says “you do, they assist” which made us think we were going to be hauling up lobsters and catching them.
That was not the case. They definitely educated us on clams, muscles, and lobsters. But when it came to “catching” the lobsters, they just showed us two traps they hauled up with 4 lobsters in them. They told us that they bought the lobsters at a grocery store that day and put them in the traps because lobster season is over. They returned the lobsters to their cages and passed out a lobster roll dinner.
We did nothing but watch. We were asked if we would like to drive the boat but that was all the involvement we had.
If you want to get out on the water and be educated on clams, muscles, and lobsters while in PEI than this is an excursion for you. If you want to actually catch lobsters, than don’t book this in July when lobster season is over.
