点评:We have been to Sanibel-Captiva years ago prior to the Hurricane that caused significant damage. Blind Pass beach back then was amazing. Be aware however in June 2026 it is open but not for ANY swimming. Erosion has changed that shape of the beach and caused strong tidal conditions not safe for swimming. In addition, I was really disappointed at the number of shells on the beach. Now of course this is all about Mother Nature and not a controllable thing so this is more of a sad to say vs a complaint. Theres no question times have changed, there's global warming etc...Granted to beach is made of nothing but crushed shells but as time passes the volume seems to be decreasing as the reefs deteriorate. Sanibel is a beautiful place and if you like sitting on the beach for hours this is the place for sure. It can get crowded but early June was ideal for no crowds. The vacationers were not quite there yet and kids were minimal. Its worth a trip if you haven't been, but we found the magic gone after our 2nd trip.
