We prepared three amazing dishes together:
Kirikos Maalu Ambulthiyal – a creamy, tangy coconut fish curry unlike anything we've tasted before.
Manioc Leaf Mallum – so fresh, earthy, and full of flavor.
Amba Maaluwa – a sweet and spicy mango curry that surprised us with its delicious balance.
The cooking process was traditional and hands-on—we loved using the grinding stones, clay pots, and even cooking on a wood fire. It felt like traveling back in time to a simpler, more beautiful way of life.
What made this experience truly special was the connection. We didn't just cook; we laughed, we learned, and we shared stories with our lovely hosts.
