New & Gauley River Adventures的点评
点评：Ran the Upper Gauley with Mason this year. This is the second year that I've done an Upper Gauley trip with these folks and they've killed it each time. In my experience, the guides at NRA will make sure that you have the most fun on the river as possible while keeping you safe. They're clear and concise when giving direction while maintaining a calming yet serious presence to get through the more dangerous sections of river. The guides here demonstrate enough character while you're in the raft with them that as soon as you fall out and life begins flashing before your eyes - you remember you're in good hands and that trusting your guide will keep you alive. Mason made everyone in our raft feel like we were homies with him and the other NRA boat on the water with us, despite us being a few of the many faces he probably sees every year. You don't feel like a 'client,' when you're with these guys - you just feel like another West Virginia water hippie that's part of the crew out there having a good time.
I would highly recommend booking your trip with New & Gauley River Adventures. I haven't booked with the 'resorts' or other big commercial companies out on the Gauley before but I don't feel any reason to. Huge thanks to Mason for making the most of our trip. Give that guy a raise.
