点评：I had the opportunity to visit OPG Pensa in Kaštel Lukšić several times and first time during October 2024. It was my first experience and also unforgettable one of olive oil tasting. From the very moment of arrival, we felt the warm and genuine welcome of the hosts, who share their family tradition and love for olives with great passion and knowledge.
We walked through the olive grove and had genuine feeling of Dalamtina tradition enjoying the old olive trees and nature sents.
The tasting was a true journey through flavors and aromas – from freshness and fruity notes to the gentle spicy tones characteristic of premium extra virgin olive oil. I was especially impressed by the attention they dedicate to quality and natural processes, as well as the way they convey the story of the olive’s deep connection to Dalmatian heritage and life by the sea.
Beyond the tasting itself, it was highly educational to learn about the different olive varieties, processing methods, and tips on how to recognize authentic extra virgin olive oil. The entire experience was a blend of education and enjoyment.
I would recommend OPG Pensa to anyone who wishes to discover the true spirit of Kaštela, experience the scents and flavors of olives, and feel the hospitality of a family proudly nurturing its tradition.
