点评：Had a fantastic day out to Dassen Island. From start to finish the trip was brilliantly run and worth every penny. Alan and Azandè were outstanding. Calm, professional, and clearly very experienced. Their knowledge of the island, the wildlife, and the local waters added real depth to the trip.
I have done many trips like this before and this was easily the best I have been on. Even guests who were more nervous felt completely secure throughout.
We saw large colonies of African penguins, Cape gannets, cormorants, pelicans, seals playing with crayfish, dusky dolphins, two sunfish, bluebottles, wild rabbits, and a wide range of seabirds, with superb views of the island and the lighthouse. It was also inspiring to see the Dassen Island rangers at work and to learn about the incredible conservation efforts being done in partnership with SANCCOB.
The boat itself was immaculate, clearly well maintained, and everything felt new and purpose built. It was handled with confidence, the briefing was clear, and safety was taken seriously without ever feeling restrictive. This felt like a proper, well run expedition rather than a tourist gimmick. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to see Dassen Island done properly by people who genuinely know and respect the place.
