An adventure..then the film but still good.

点评：We went to the Vue to watch the new Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale.
The film was due to start at 14:20. By 14:35 the lights were still on and no music nor trailers were being played just a worried team member popping a head on to check on the half filled room. After a further 10 minutes the inevitable announcement. A long explanation with technical information about the film being corrupted and it not working, however, they were about to relocate us to another screen and could start the show immediately without the trailers!
We relocated to the other end of the cinema and we told to take the same equivalent seats we were in the other screen. Bonus was this was an upgraded seat…it seemed. These larger leather seats are wider but incredibly uncomfortable and not supportive. It’s impossible not to slouch and slide down the seat. We would have been better to move to a ‘cheaper’ seat which are more padded and the row directly behind this vip has more leg room too! Obviously this is all subjective but we are both 6ft 2 and big so on the giant side of human.
The film was brilliant as expected. The cinema team didn’t need to offer us another screen but they handled this really well considering this was a cinema full of the more vintage of people and they can be harder to handle than young folk.
Personally I would stay with the standard seats and spend money on popcorn.
