Don't make the same mistakes we made!
Modjadji Nature Reserve的点评
点评：I am writing this review so that it hopefully saves other visitors from getting lost, although I still can't tell you how to get there.
We intended to visit the Modjadji cycads, but we never made it there after 4 hours of driving around in circles. Hopefully by ruling out the wrong roads, we may be able to find it next time
- First, we used Google to navigate us to Modjadji Nature Reserve. Google send us up a 4x4 track in the village of Sekhuting, but there is no track to the reserve entrance from there.
- Secondly, we followed SAvenues directions starting in Modjadjikloof and following the signs. There is one sign at the turnoff from R36 towards Modjadji and a second one on a dirt road called Modjadji Rd. This road leads to villages north of the Modjadji reserve.
- Our third attempt to get into the reserve lead us to a deserted and unfinished Bolobedu Culture Village, where we had a picnic and then returned home.
Next time we will try to find the cycads by using google navigation to 'Modjadji Nature Reserve Parking' and avoid arriving from the North. Another option may be to navigate to 'Modjadji Camp'.
If anyone knows how to get to the cycads please let us and other future visitors know!
