Lovely gardens and an interesting house.

点评：A lovely place to visit for perhaps an hour and a half to two hours. There's a free audio guide telling you about the rooms and the history of the house. It feels much less "stuffy" than many National Trust properties. There were perhaps 10 people there when we arrived. It's a fixed price, and no concessions. If you visit the Ruthin goal beforehand, you get 20% off entry to the house, which is valid for a month.
The gardens outside are lovely. At the time of writing, they are a bit past their best, but in the peak spring and summer months would be lovely. There's also a little audio guide for the garden too.
One lovely touch, is the help yourself/make your own tea plus a biscuit for a donation...Nice china cups, and a small selection of teas and instant coffee are available.
The only drawback is that there is no parking as it's right in the town. We found a pay and display carpark a few minutes walk away.
