点评：We had the best snorkeling experience of our lives with Reef Life Taveuni at Rainbow Reef. Honestly, we may never be able to snorkel anywhere else again, because nothing will ever compare to this.
It was our last day in Taveuni, and our flight was later that afternoon. The weather had been quite bad over the previous few days, so we had already had to cancel our snorkeling trip the day before. On the final morning, all the other companies cancelled, but Sity, the captain of Reef Life, told us honestly that it was mainly wind: the sea would be a bit rough, but still safe and manageable. We trusted him, and we are so glad we did.
He took us to the shore, gave us fins and masks (honestly the best equipment we have ever used, with no fogging and no leaking) and then we set off with him and his second sailor, who was also incredibly kind and lovely. My partner suffers from seasickness, so when we say Sity is an amazing sailor, you can definitely trust us. In the end, he was completely right: it was a little rough, but totally manageable.
Then we started snorkeling, and it felt like being inside Finding Nemo. It was just us and this unbelievable underwater world: schools of fish, fish in every colour imaginable, stunning corals, reef sharks, and even “Mr Ray”: we saw a beautiful manta ray. It was pure magic.
They also prepared a snack for us, which was delicious and absolutely perfect. After around two hours of snorkeling, we came back with eyes that still couldn’t believe what we had just seen.
Thank you, Reef Life Taveuni, and especially Sity, for making our last day in Taveuni unforgettable. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
