Not worth a visit in my opinion.

点评：We visited today based on reviews, but to be honest were really disappointed. There's almost no signage to give you information. It is a very steep climb to the castle, although we discovered there is a small car park when we got up there!! There is the obligatory small shop and a little cafe, although it only serves cold drinks and some snacks. I would suggest taking your own.. You can actually sit outside on the grass or a bench and see part of the castle for free.
I paid to go in and around the castle. My husband had a knee issue, so waited at the cafe.
The views are primarily over a fairly modern town which wasn't exactly exciting.
If you are further south in Carmarthen and want to see a ruin, try Laugharn Castle which has views over an estuary and is really pretty, and very peaceful.
